Since he attacked a 41-year-old woman and her four-year-old son on December 7, David Cosac Júnior, then federal auditor of the Comptroller General of the Union (CGU), is still on the run. However, the Civil Police of the Federal District (PCDF) is investigating these crimes and has already charged the former official. The affair was revealed by the chronicle of the 23rd.
The crimes occurred in the parking lot of a residential building in Águas Claras (DF). David was caught on security cameras slapping and punching both victims. The same day, a resident reported the matter to the police anonymously.

Investigators went to the man’s apartment, but he was not arrested. In the column, Josué Ribeiro, chief delegate of the 21st Police Station (Taguatinga Sul), explained that on the day of the events, the woman left the scene and refused to go to the police station and the Forensic Institute (IML), saying that “she had already finished everything and did not want to know more.”
“The duty delegate chose to work on the investigation instead of making the arrest for a less serious offense, in this case a criminal offense – which is a criminal offense – instead of qualified bodily harm, which would carry a higher penalty due to the fact that the victim was a woman,” he detailed.
Now, PCDF investigators are seeking to gather enough evidence to request the arrest of the suspect. He was indicted for assault and battery under the Maria da Penha law and for mistreatment of children under the age of 14, under the Henry Borel law.

The Comptroller General of the Union published, this Friday (26), new administrative measures against David. In a press release, the CGU declared that the measures were taken in view of the “serious and unacceptable facts involving the agency’s employees”.
He was kept away, as a precaution, for 60 days. In addition to being expelled, CGU banned David from entering CGU buildings and accessing institutional systems, pending administrative investigations.
“The measures are preventive in nature and were adopted to preserve the institutional environment and guarantee the progress of investigations,” the document specifies.
The measures are a continuation of other actions already adopted and announced by the CGU. On December 23, also with publication in the Official Journal of the Union, it was decided that the official was exempt from the role of substitute boss.
Investigations into ethical and disciplinary responsibility are continuing at the Federal Office of the Interior and at the CGU Ethics Commission.
