Unique has formalized its integration into the project with which Toledo aspires to become European Capital of Culture in 2031. The accession materialized this morning with the signing of the protocol between the territorial director of the entity of … Castilla-La Mancha, Almudena Noheda, and the city’s mayor, Carlos Velázquez.
During the event, the Unicaja representative explained that this incorporation arises from the commitment of the entity to projects that “strengthen the social and cultural fabric and generate value” in the territories where it operates. “Regions like Toledo and, by extension, Castile-La Mancha, are part of its roots as an entity,” recalled Noheda.
The signing of the agreement also took place in the presence of the Culture Advisor, Ana Pérez; the general director of the application, Emilio Martinez; the coordinator of the steering committee, Jesus Carrobles; and the regional director of Unicaja, Mariana Palacios.
This new membership adds to the support of the main institutions and entities in the region, including the Government of Castile-La Mancha, regional courts, the five provincial councils, professional academies and associations, as well as businessmen and the main media in the region.
