The UNIFAMAZ University Center, linked to the Ceuma Group, will organize in 2026 the first Medical Congress in its 18-year history. The meeting will take place on April 10, 11 and 12, at Espaço Docas — the new events center in the capital of Pará — and will have as its central theme “Global health and the 21st century professional.” The goal is to bring together around a thousand participants. “The choice of Espaço Docas reinforces the proposal of modernity and innovation that will mark this first edition of the congress, offering a broad and current infrastructure ready to host large-scale scientific activities,” said Adriana Gorayeb, rector of UNIFAMAZ.
Interdisciplinary in nature, the event will be aimed not only at medical students and professionals, but also at all fields directly or indirectly related to health, including nursing, psychology, dentistry, biomedicine, physiotherapy, nutrition, physical education and other segments integrating patient care.
During the three days of programming, the public will have access to main conferences, round tables, mini-courses, innovation spaces and presentations of scientific work. The debates will address contemporary topics such as global health, epidemiological challenges, artificial intelligence applied to health, digital health, ethics, primary care and the new skills required of 21st century professionals.
With certification and limited places, the congress aims to stimulate the scientific scene in Belém, strengthening integration between different areas of health and broadening participants’ vision of the sector’s global challenges. According to Adriana, the congress was created with the aim of integrating science, technology and humanized training.
“We want to offer a space for dialogue and updating that reflects the current health scenario and prepares our students for a future in constant transformation. The 1st UNIFAMAZ Medical Congress will be an important step for the academic community in the region. We have an organizing committee made up of professors and students very committed to building an event that strengthens the development of future health professionals,” says the director.
