Unimed do Brasil and Unimed Rio signed an operational partnership on the 23rd to standardize service to Unimed Ferj beneficiaries. Under the terms of the agreement, cooperating doctors are accredited to perform care and procedures, and the transfer of medical fees will be made directly to Unimed Rio.
All these customers remain linked to Unimed Ferj.
On November 20, as part of an agreement negotiated by the National Complementary Health Agency (ANS), Unimed do Brasil took over the care of 234 thousand beneficiaries of Unimed Ferj, residing in the cities of Rio de Janeiro and Duque de Caxias.
With the Agency’s decision, the financial obligations of this portfolio, until November 19, 2025, are solely and exclusively the responsibility of Unimed Ferj. Unimed do Brasil has no financial obligations signed to date.
The objective is to guarantee the continuity and quality of assistance to Unimed Ferj users throughout the national territory.
For beneficiaries, all current contractual conditions remain unchanged. There will be no change to the approved network, health coverage or health plan prices.
