María Corina Machado called for the freedom of the Iranian Nobel Peace Prize winner and targeted Maduro
María Corina Machado called for the immediate release of Narges Mohammadi, the Nobel Peace Prize winner imprisoned by the Iranian regime and who has targeted Nicolás Maduro’s regime.
The Venezuelan opposition leader said she spoke to Narges’ brother to express her solidarity. “Today, when I see his photo in the exhibition at the Nobel Peace Center, I cannot stop thinking about the cruelty of regimes like Iran and Venezuela, capable of doing everything to stay in power and silence the voices that reveal the truth. But our message is unstoppable, as is this movement for peace and freedom that the whole world knows,” he said.
“To the extent that we come together and defend these values, we are even stronger. Immediate freedom for Narges, for Iran and for Venezuela,” he demanded.
