The Secretariat of Justice and Citizenship of the Federal District (Sejus-DF) offers this Thursday (11), from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., a special Christmas edition of Varal Solidário on the lower platform of the Plano Piloto bus station. The action is part of the ongoing Share Love campaign and will provide the population with more than 10,000 free clothes, shoes and accessories.
Organized on racks and hangers by size and style, pieces can be chosen by anyone passing by. Each person will be allowed up to three items.
During the last edition, held in August, the project brought together more than 2,000 people and distributed 5,000 pieces. The initiative aims to expand access to clothing and accessories for families in situations of social vulnerability.
The Secretary of Justice and Citizenship, Marcela Passamani, underlined the solidarity nature of the action: “Christmas is an invitation to take care. With Varal Solidário, we show that solidarity is built every day, with small gestures that make a big difference in the lives of those who need it most.
