Vélez-Málaga promotes 215 new protected houses in Vélez, Torre del Mar and Almayate

The first deputy mayor and delegated advisor of Emvipsa, Jesus Pérez Atenciaunderlined the marked social character of the action, emphasizing that it constitutes a direct response to one of the main current needs of citizens. The project is structured through a public-private collaboration in which the Town Hall, through its municipal company Emvipsaprovides public land, while the Galivivienda cooperative assumes responsibility for the promotion and management of housing.

Promotions will be developed under the regime of secure rental with purchase optionwith long-term contracts and income adapted to legally established modules. The modern, efficient homes will have one, two and three bedrooms, as well as terraces, a garage and a storage room. Depending on the location, they will also include common areas such as gardens, swimming pools, children’s areas and community areas.

The mayor of Vélez-Málaga, Jesus Lupiánezhighlighted the solvency of the cooperative in charge of the project, integrated into the Spanish Confederation of Cooperatives of Housing, as well as the tax advantages offered by this model, since it is a specially protected entity.

The promotions will be distributed in different enclaves of the municipality, including adapted housing, in order to expand the offer of protected housing throughout the municipality. The Town Hall reminded that to benefit from these VPO it will be essential comply with the requirements established by the regulations of the Junta de Andalucíain particular by being registered in the municipal register of housing applicants and respecting the established income limits.

Interested people already registered in the municipal register can become members of Galivivienda to access these promotions.
