Vice-top scorer in the Premier League, the Brazilian is voted player of the month

Igor Thiago is once again attracting attention and establishing himself as one of the main players in the Premier League. The Brazilian striker, who is in the top scorer phase, was voted best player of the month in the English championship. With 11 goals, he is second in the ranking of top scorers, behind Erling Haaland, who has 15.

A graduate of Cruzeiro’s youth teams, Igor is enjoying his second season at Brentford. His current performance takes on even more weight when he remembers the difficult period he went through in 2024/25, where he hardly played on the pitch due to a serious knee injury, followed by a meniscus problem, which left him absent for almost the entire year.

The striker’s international career began in 2022, when Bulgaria’s Ludogorets invested 1.3 million euros – around 6 million reais at the time – to sign him. After just one year, he transferred to Club Brugge in Belgium, where he continued his development. In 2024, he reaches one of the most coveted destinations in world football: the Premier League, where he is now experiencing his best moment.
