Journalist Diana Calderón points out that the end of the year is marked by repeated news, “a circle that never ends” with people being burned with gunpowder, road accidents, the annual fight for the minimum wage between businessmen and unions or attacks by illegal immigrants “to then decree a truce as a gift from the Child God to the Colombians.” But he notes something: “What is new and devastating is to see citizens desperate because they cannot get medicine,” just months before the national elections.
