Amid the excitement surrounding the departure of the bus caravan of Estudiantes fans to Santiago del Estero, where the team will play in the final, a traffic accident occurred this Friday evening in La Plata. The incident occurred on the corner of 1st and 56th streets in front of Jorge Luis Hirschi Stadium.
As EL DIA was able to confirm as an almost direct witness of the event, the accident was caused by a motorcycle and a car colliding against the backdrop of intense vehicular movement and a large presence of sympathizers in the area. As can be seen in the pictures, the motorcycle remained on the asphalt and the vehicle suffered significant damage to the front end.
Police, emergency services and traffic police worked on site while several long-distance buses with fans on board waited to continue their journey. The accident caused delays and disrupted traffic in a key part of the city.
