Real Madrid beat Alavés 2 x 1 last Sunday (14/12) and Xabi Alonso won his survival in the team. Despite the victory, Spanish daily Marca criticized the team’s performance and placed Vini Jr. and Rodrygo as the Spanish coach’s “saviors.”
“Xabi Alonso is a survivor. He suffered because his team lacked pace and players, hampered by injuries. But he overcame the lack of form and control of the match, especially after Mbappé’s first goal, to achieve victory.
