CBF award elected Arrascaeta as star of this year’s Brazilian Championship

THE Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) held this Monday on Brasileirão Prize 2025which recognizes the strengths of the Brazilian Championship. The season selection was dominated by Flamengo, champion of this edition, and Cruzeiro, third. Finalist Palmeiras’ only name was striker Victor Roque. Mirasol And Vasco They also had names on the ideal team.
Midfielder Giorgian de Arrascaeta, who previously won the Silver Ball, was also voted this season’s Brasileirão Star by the CBF. The Uruguayan was also included in the championship team alongside other teammates, such as goalkeeper Rossi, defender Léo Pereira and midfielder Jorginho. The best goal was also awarded to a Flamengo athlete and Flamengo’s Pedro in the historic 8-0 defeat against Vitória, in the 21st round.
Finalists Palmeiras only had striker Vitor Roque in their ideal team. The player, who joined Alviverde’s team mid-championship, was the Brasileirão’s second top scorer, with 16 goals in 33 matches.
With four players, third-placed Cruzeiro was another highlight of the Prix Brasileirão. Chosen for the selection were defender Fabrício Bruno, midfielder Lucas Romero, midfielder Matheus Pereira and striker Kaio Jorge, who also won the Roberto Dinamite award for the competition’s top scorer, with 21 goals.
Brasileirão 2025 sensation Mirassol, with the best campaign in the history of a debutant team — and who earned a direct place in the group stage of the next Libertadores — was honored with two names in the team of the season. Left-back Reinaldo, who had the best season of his career in 2025, and coach Rafael Guanaes were included in the ideal team of the year.
Two Vasco names were honored. Rayan, one of the club’s key figures this season, was elected New Star. The 19-year-old striker has become a key part of coach Fernando Diniz’s project. In 34 matches played, the young man participated in 15 goals, scoring 14 goals and providing one assist. Paulo Henrique, also called up to the national team, was chosen as one of the best full-backs of the tournament.
The referees were also honored during the ceremony. The main referee Rodrigo José Pereira de Lima (PE), the assistants Bruno Boschilia (PR) and Rafael da Silva Alves (RS), the VAR referee Caio Max Augusto Vieira (GO) and the assistant Elen Gonçalves Silva Araújo (MG) were elected in the quintet of the best refereeing of the year.

The women’s Brasileirão dominated by Corinthians and Cruzeiro
At the Brasileirão Feminino A1, the season’s selection was dominated by players from Corinthians and Cruzeiro, finalists of this edition.
Forward Jhonson, champion with the black and white team, was voted Breakthrough Star of the season. In addition to her, goalkeeper Nicole, defender Mariza, midfielders Gabi Zanotti, elected star of the women’s Brasileirão, and Duda Sampaio. In addition, black and white defender Erika scored the best goal for the Brasileirão Feminino.
Cruzeiro, runners-up, was represented by defender Isa Haas, defenders Isabela and Gisele, midfielder Lorena Bedoya, striker Letícia and coach Jonas Urias.
Palmeiras completed the list of the best of the year in women’s national football. Forward Amanda Gutierres, who scored 17 goals, won the top scorer award and also featured in the ideal team’s attack. In addition to her, midfielder Brena also gained a place in midfield.
