In the duel of the Brazilians for Group A of the 2025 Men’s Club World Cup, Vôlei Renata beat Praia Clube by 3 sets to 1 – partials of 25-22, 25-19, 22-25, 25-23 -, Wednesday evening (12/17), at the Mangueirinho gymnasium, in Belém (PA), in the second round of the qualifying phase of the competition and moved closer to the semi-final place.

This Thursday, Vôlei Renata will face Al-Rayyan (QAT), at 8:30 p.m., broadcast on VBTV and Cazé TV, and should confirm its favoritism over the weakest team in the group. Before that, at 5 p.m., Praia will need to beat Polish side Zawiercie – who beat the Campinas side 3-2 on debut – preferably 3-0 or 3-1 to qualify. The semi-finals will take place on Saturday and the final on Sunday.
To open today’s day, Sada Cruzeiro beat Swehly (LBA) and Perugia (ITA) beat Osaka (JPN) in the tie-break. In the other group B, Osaka (JPN) must confirm its place against Swehly (LiB), at 1:30 p.m. At the start of the day, at 10 a.m., Sada Cruzeiro will have to beat the Italian Perugia 3-0 or 3-1 to advance.
Vôlei Renata reacted in the final of the third set and took a three-point lead in the fourth, but did not maintain it. In the final stretch, the Campinas team reacted and won the partial to close the match 3-1.
Adriano was the biggest scorer of the match with 21 points, all of them offensive. The other strong points of Vôlei Renata were Acerola (13 points), who started in place of the injured Bruno Lima, and Judson, also with 13. Praia had 15 points from Lucas Loh, 15 from the pointer Paulo and 14 from the opponent Franco.
