The banker Daniel Vorcaro, from Master, will participate in person in the confrontation with the former president of the BRB, Paulo Henrique Costa, and the director of supervision of the Central Bank, Ailton de Aquino Santos, this Tuesday (30/12).
The businessman has already informed the authorities that he will travel to Brasilia for the confrontation determined by Minister Dias Toffoli, of the Supreme Court. Vorcaro has been monitored by an electronic ankle monitor since his release from prison, where he spent 12 days, accused of trying to escape from Brazil after announcing the sale of Master.
The defense proved that he had informed the BC of the trip and was released subject to wearing an ankle bracelet.
The confrontation will confront the versions of Vorcaro and the Central Bank on the decision of the monetary authority not to liquidate the bank, which the defense believes did not respect all the necessary rites. BC’s actions are also under investigation by the TCU.
As the chronicle shows, the participation of Dias Toffoli himself in the confrontation is still uncertain. It is possible that he will be replaced by an investigating judge from his office.
