The debate on the Regional Budgets of Madrid, the third of the legislature, did not take place only in the plenary hall of the Assembly. Outside its walls, Vox Madrid summarized his ideological program and … of its amendments, contrary to the measures defended by the PP of Ayuso, and launched more than 30 “memes” with images, many of which focused on irregular immigration.
Abascal’s party presented 924 partial amendments to the public accounts that the Ayuso government presented to the Madrid Assembly. These amendments actually include Vox’s ideological program, with several main axes, such as the concept of “national priority” in the provision of public services and aid and subsidies, as well as the proposal for a fund to create a “return ticket” for illegal immigrants.
The PP, which has an absolute majority in Madrid, accepted seven of the nearly a thousand amendments proposed by Vox, but all of them are technical or refer to minor studies and projects. The people did not accept any ideological amendment, neither in the case of Vox nor in the case of left-wing groups. And he overturned, in particular, all those which concerned this “national priority” demanded by Vox and the “return ticket”.
Vox took advantage of this week’s debate to present all its amendments and its ideological program, which also includes proposals against “Islamization” and the use of the Islamic veil in classrooms. This is the program they would try to implement if they were influential after the next elections in Madrid.
In the parliamentary group, they summarized everything in 34 memes: 17 with Ayuso’s positions that they criticize and 17 others with Vox’s proposals. Many of them focus on irregular immigration, with many people crossing a barrier to enter the country, for example. On the other hand, they offer the Vox “return ticket”, bearing the image of a plane which takes them to their country of origin.
There is no shortage of fake menas (unaccompanied foreign minors) in memes, with an image of immigrants who are visibly adults. Vox demands expert proof of age for all men, but also the expulsion of all and the closure of centers throughout the Community of Madrid. “The Madrid of all accents. “The children of Ayuso,” says one of the images, with several boys of Arab origin already quite adults.
They also do not forget the “collapse” of public services and, in particular, health. And as an alternative “meme”, they offer an image in which they defend “national” priority, with several people with white features in an emergency room.
In this collection of images they also refer to squatting. “Get out into the streets,” says one of Vox’s “memes,” with an elderly couple smiling in front of two police officers and in front of their home.
