Revuelta is Vox’s youth brand. Born in 2023 and promoted the movements in front of the federal headquarters of the PSOE on Madrileña Ferraz Street in November of this year. On December 5, we entered a serious crisis with deficits in its board of directors and complaints to the Tax Administration over suspicions of misappropriation of donations of tens of thousands of euros collected to help those affected by the damage suffered by Valencia in October last year.
It all started last December 5 when the vice president of the association, Arturo Villarroya González, announced on social networks his resignation and that of another member of the Board of Directors, Javier Esteban Bejarano; while, in a separate message, I also communicated under the export voice of Revuelta Elsa Almada.
Since then, the newspaper The plural published a series of internal information and audios which underline that before this scandal broke out, in early December, the management of the formation itself knew what was happening inside.
This news was added this month, published by The World. This newspaper has access to other audios supposed to report a meeting which took place on October 17 at Dissent, the foundation of the formation of the far right. Here, from the top positions of the party, it was openly declared that Santiago Abascal knew this part of the youth wing of the party and that in fact he had participated in the attempt to arrest it before the scandal broke out in the press.
“We have to be careful before a leader in which Vox is involved comes to our rescue,” explains one of the senior officials. In this case, it is Montserrat Lluis, deputy secretary general for training, who maintains the conversation with the secretary general of Revuelta, Pablo González Gasca. “This party is the house of Tócame Roque,” says Lluis. “If we want to govern Spain, we cannot operate like this (…) We must start operating in a more professional and cleaner way.”
“Because,” Lluis says, “Santiago (Abascal) asks me: ‘Hey, how are you? What’s going to happen?’ Because you didn’t challenge me. “What do you think Santiago said to me when I spoke to him on Sunday, who does not challenge me (Jaime Hernández, president of the Revuelta) and does not know what he is going to do?” “And Santiago, for the last week I’ve been wondering if I could find out. And I say ‘no, I’m not contesting’. It’s clear, the moon, like a motorcycle…”.
Revuelta, who had disappeared from the public scene after the ball, reappeared at the beginning of December to call for demonstrations in front of the PSOE headquarters, barely an hour after 600 meters of the concentration organized by the PP at the Debod temple in Madrid. The demonstration was a fiasco and only brought together around 400 people; among other reasons why Vox did not encourage its affiliates to support it. This article highlights the distance between the party leadership and the organization promoted to encourage hostility towards the federal headquarters of the PSOE in 2023.
