Right-back Wesley, formerly of Flamengo, currently at Roma, could re-enter the transfer market. According to English newspaper TalkSport, the Brazilian national team player has attracted the attention of Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona.
One of the reasons for interest from clubs is the player’s versatility. Wesley stands out for his ability to play on both flanks and also as a winger.
However, despite the demand, the player is unlikely to receive an offer during the transfer window at the start of the year. The trend is for the full-back to finish the Italian club’s season and a possible negotiation will only take place after the World Cup.
Wesley was transferred to Rome in the middle of this year. The full-back made 18 appearances for the Italian club and scored three goals. Additionally, the player has already been called up four times for the Brazilian national team and played in five matches, remaining on Carlo Ancelotti’s radar for the World Cup.
