The last round of Brazilian saves the final championship definitions. Even though Flamengo are already champions, there is still excitement for Sunday’s matches.
The first four are defined in this order: Flamengo, Palmeiras, Cruzeiro and Mirassol. As Flamengo fans won the Libertadores, there is another direct berth for the continental competition in 2026.
Fluminense (fifth, with 61 points), Bahia (sixth, with 60) and Botafogo (seventh, with 60) are vying for last place. The Rio tricolor team plays against Bahia. Whoever wins is qualified. The black and white team, on the other hand, depends on a victory combined with a draw between the other two.
There is also a fight for a place in the preliminary stages of the Libertadores for eighth place, depending on the result of the Copa do Brasil (Cruzeiro or Fluminense title). São Paulo occupies the position and plays against Vitória.
The team could be overtaken by Red Bull Bragantino. To do this, the Bragança team must beat Internacional, in Beira-Rio, and hope for a fall of São Paulo.
If Cruzeiro or Fluminense do not win the Copa do Brasil, eighth place gives them a place in the South American Cup. Alongside him will be teams up to 13th place.
5 teams try to escape the last two undefined positions of Z-4
Sport (20th, with 17 points) and Juventude (19th, with 34) are already relegated to Serie B. Internacional, Vitória, Fortaleza, Ceará and Santos still have a mathematical risk.
The most complicated situation is that of the Gauchos. The Department of Mathematics of the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) points out that the probability of Colorado falling is 77.5%.
To avoid relegation, Internacional must beat Red Bull Bragantino and hope for at least two parallel results from the following:
- stumble (draw or defeat) of Vitória against São Paulo
- Ceará defeat against Palmeiras
- Santos defeat against Cruzeiro + Inter recovers 7 goals from balance
- Fortaleza loses to Botafogo
The second most threatened club is Vitória, with 64.9% and which also needs parallel results. Fortaleza has a risk of 35.2%; Ceara, 20.4%; and Santos, only 2.1%. These last three are entirely up to you.
Brasileirão wins block awards for the first time
The final position in the table also defines the prices. This is the first year in which there is no single CBF table for position values. Indeed, the negotiation of television rights was shared between Libra and LFU. The portion relating to performance only constitutes part of the amount received by the club.
For those close to Z-4, escaping relegation is essential to maintain higher revenues in Series A. In Series B, the percentage of each block (Libra and LFU) is reduced.
In 2024, the champion (Botafogo) received R$48.1 million from the CBF. This year, the prize is expected to be larger, exceeding 50 million reais. The runner-up in 2024 received BRL 45.7 million. Values are scaled based on the final position in the Brasileirão table.
