The Buenos Aires provincial government finally decided to give in Holiday on Friday December 26th for the Buenos Aires Public Administration by a decree published today.
Among the concerts, the standard states that “the Christmas and New Year celebrations are traditionally celebrated by citizens through the unification and rapprochement of families and groups” and that these celebrations “in the province of Buenos Aires result in many citizens traveling to different parts of the province and the country to meet there to celebrate them.”
For this reason, “it is considered advisable to take appropriate measures to facilitate and promote the above-mentioned celebrations, especially for all those people who live away from their relatives”, and therefore it is decided “to declare December 24th, 26th and 31st, 2025 as an administrative holiday within the framework of the public administration of the province”.
In this sense, the decree establishes that personnel dependent on the Buenos Aires Provincial Police and the telephone service system
Emergency of the Ministry of Security, to personnel dependent on the Penitentiary Service of Buenos Aires, to personnel of the Provincial Authority for Children and Adolescents who perform functions in the facilities of the Juvenile Criminal Responsibility System, in official homes and shelters and to those who carry out transfer functions, to personnel working in the Provincial Directorate of High Risk Situations and Critical Cases, on line 144 and in the comprehensive shelters, all dependent on the Ministry of Women and Diversity, to the hospital staff and the integrated health emergency system of the Ministry of Health necessary to cover essential services, guard and emergency services and all other uninterrupted services, to the personnel assigned under the “Sun to Sun Operation 2025-2026″ and to the personnel dependent on the Undersecretary of State for Road Transport Policy and Safety who are available for this purpose and carry out inspection duties. Likewise, the measure does not apply to banks and financial institutions; It authorizes officials to “establish other essential activities that cannot be interrupted in order to maintain the continuity of essential services” and calls on “the legislature, the judiciary and the municipalities to take the same action.”
