Last Sunday, December 21, the regional elections took place in Extremadura, which left a complicated electoral panorama for the PSOEamong other results.
The socialist party, which historically it maintained political control over almost the entire communitysuffered … a significant defeat against the PP, which obtained 43.2% of the votes and 29 seats, and Vox, with 17% of the votes, nine more than in the previous elections, and 11 seats.
The election results were worse than expected for the PSOE according to the polls, since the party obtained 18 seats in Extremadura, up to 10 fewer than in the 2023 regional elections. That year, Pedro Sánchez’s party was leader in 254 municipalities of Extremadura, while on this occasion it lost leadership in 137, Mérida being one of the regions where the fall was most notable.
This scenario caused a lot of talk on the political scene, and even among certain PSOE figures. They ask the President of the Government to meet again in light of the electoral setbackso as not to cause the party to have less and less support in more territories of Spain in the face of the next elections.
José Manuel Soto gives his harsh opinion on the future of Pedro Sánchez
Outside of the game, many critical voices are also being raised against Pedro Sánchez after his results in Extremadura. One of them is that of the famous Sevillian artist Jose Manuel Sotofor whom it is generally common to share their political opinion through their social networks.
Soto clearly explained how he saw the socialist leader’s political future after this electoral debacle. In his message, Soto predicts how the socialist leader might fare in 2026: “Pedro Sánchez’s situation in Extremadura has gone bad and he has a difficult year ahead of him”wrote the singer.
“Whatever is bad for the traitor is good for Spain” » he adds, reflecting Soto’s rejection of the figure of Pedro Sánchez and his role at the head of the country. The Sevillian, known for his strong opinions on the Spanish government, seems to have found confirmation of his convictions about Sánchez’s management in the defeat of the PSOE in Extremadura.
Pedro Sánchez’s situation in Extremadura has gone badly and he will have a difficult year ahead of him. Whatever is bad for the traitor is good for Spain.
