This Saturday, December 13, music will once again be the common language of Europe thanks to Junior Eurovisionand Spain will speak it with the voice of Gonzalo Pinillosa teenager who, from Tbilisi (Georgia), wants to make his story a reality.
Contrary to … of the decision taken by RTVE concerning Eurovision 2026festival from which he withdrew due to the participation of Israel, our country will be present in the children’s edition.
He will do it with the participation of Pinillos, a young 14-year-old artist from Madrid who will defend the song ‘Once upon a time’ on the stage of Gymnastics pavilionin the Georgian capital.
Three historic returns
The event will bring together 18 countriesone more than in the previous edition. Not among them will be Israel, who made his debut in the children’s competition in 2012 and participated in 2016 and 2018. His absence contrasts with the historical return of three countries: Montenegro, Croatia and Azerbaijan.
Croatia, in fact, was the first winner of the festival in 2003 and had not participated since 2014. For its part, Montenegro returns after a decade of absence, while Azerbaijan returns after four years.
