While Zezé Di Camargo was involved in a public disagreement with SBT, Luciano Camargo chose to keep his distance from the controversy. The episode culminated with the cancellation of Zezé’s Christmas special, which was scheduled to air this Wednesday (12/17).
Luciano’s office said the singer was on vacation with his family and preferred not to comment on the matter. Married to Flavia Camargo since 2003, the two are parents of twin girls Isabella and Helena, 15 years old. The family lives in a mansion in Alphaville, São Paulo.

On vacation, far from the spotlight and the controversies of his brother, Luciano gave his last show last Friday (12/12) in Chapadão do Sul (MS). The singer’s next performance, alongside Zezé, is scheduled for December 26, in Gaspar (SC).

Although they have not officially announced the end of the duo, the brothers have been pursuing solo projects since 2020 and reuniting sporadically to perform together. Zezé is ahead on the Rústico tour and the Navio do Zezé project, while Luciano is mainly dedicated to gospel music.
In an interview with journalist Pedro Bial, Luciano commented on the future of the partnership with his brother: “First of all, my work with my brother, the duo Zezé Di Camargo and Luciano, has always been very blessed. My brother and I have no intention of stopping with the duo.”
What happened
Zezé Di Camargo’s Christmas special, already recorded, saw its broadcast canceled by SBT following public criticism addressed by the singer to the channel. The attraction will be replaced by a new episode of Chaves, which shows the Mexican characters celebrating the end of year festivities.
This Monday (15/12), Zezé said on social networks that he felt uncomfortable with the presence of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) and Minister of the Supreme Federal Court (STF) Alexandre de Moraes at the inauguration of SBT News.

At the time, the singer called for the special to be canceled and even claimed that the network was “prostitution.” After the repercussions, SBT decided to suspend the attraction.
“The Communications Office informs that after internal evaluations, the management of the SBT has decided not to broadcast the special Natal é Amor, which was scheduled for next Wednesday, at 11 p.m. The channel will soon announce the attraction that will occupy the time slot,” the channel said in a press release.
In an open letter, Daniela Beyruti defended her family and sisters, highlighting how they are carrying on the legacy of Silvio Santos. The president of SBT also underlined the channel’s commitment to fighting “the lack of dialogue between a people who possess many virtues and whom we love so much.”
In the afternoon of this Tuesday (16/12), Zezé Di Camargo published a press release to withdraw the criticisms made against the daughters of Silvio Santos. “At no time was there any intention to disrespect the women of the Abravanel family or any other women. However, my words caused discomfort and I sincerely apologize for that,” he said.
