The last few months of the year were fraught with uncertainty for the automotive market, and just as sales fell from 0km, used car sales also suffered in November.

According to the Automotive Chamber of Commerce (CCA), 132,089 used vehicles were sold last month, 12.62% less than the same month in 2024 when 151,174 units were sold. Compared to October, the decrease was 20.56% as 166,285 units were transferred.

Taking into account the January-November period, 1,735,030 units were sold, an increase of 9.48% compared to the same period in 2024.

This decline shows that the post-election market continues to show some signs of “doubt” regarding the buying and selling of cars, which is repeated across all segments, although a faster recovery was expected.

The best-selling used cars

Taking sales by model into account, used buyers remain with the same preferences when choosing a used car.

The Volkswagen Gol continues to be the best-selling used car in the country.

The November ranking looks like this:

• Volkswagen Gol and Trend: 7,083. It has already been discontinued and replaced by the VW Polo.
• Toyota Hilux: 5,243. It is also the best-selling 0 km truck.
• Chevrolet Corsa and Classic: 3,811. The hatch and sedan were replaced by the Onix and Onix Plus.
• Ford Ranger: 3,627. It is another of the best-selling trucks among the 0 km models.
• Volkswagen Amarok: 3,580. It is also unique among the top three leading trucks.
• Ford EcoSport: 2,718. It has been the leading used SUV discontinued by the brand for years.
• Toyota Corolla: 2,695. The best-selling sedan in history is also the leader in 0 km.
• Peugeot 208: 2,506. Another model that sells well among new models.
• Fiat Palio: 2,416. A discontinued model, replaced by Argo and other cheap Fiat models.
• Ford Ka: 2,284. Also discontinued and no replacement.

Is it a good time to buy a car?
