Singer and composer Lindomar Castilho died this Saturday (20/12), at the age of 85. The artist, known as the King of Bolero, scored hits such as Você É Doida Demais and Eu Amo a Sua Mãe. His career was marked by the murder of his ex-wife, the singer Eliane de Grammont, in 1981.
The news of his death was shared by his daughter, Lili de Grammont, on Instagram. “My father is gone! And like every human being, he is limited, he is just another human being who lost his way with his vanity and his narcissism. And when he took my mother’s life, he also died alive. The man who kills also dies. The father dies and a murderer is born, a whole family dies,” she wrote.
In a long text, Lili also talks about forgiveness. “Have I forgiven? This answer is not as simple as a yes or no, it involves everything and all the layers of the pains and delights of being, a complex and evolving being. In light of all this, I wish that his soul would be healed, that his toxic masculinity would be transformed.”
