The President of the House, Hugo Motta (Republicanos-PB), refused to warn the Lula government in advance that it would pass the “PL Dosimetry”, a project that reduces the sentences of Jair Bolsonaro and others convicted of the coup plot.
As the chronicle reports, members of the Palácio do Planalto said they were surprised, late Tuesday morning (12/9), by the news that Motta had decided to vote on the proposal the same day.

Planalto sees Motta and Alcolumbre double against Lula in dosimetry
To the interlocutors, Motta admitted that he had deliberately not informed the government in advance. The goal was to prevent the news from being leaked prematurely, thus allowing Planalto and the left to work to try to make the vote unfeasible.
The PL Dosimetry was approved in the early hours of Wednesday (12/10) by 291 votes to 148. Now the text goes to the Senate and still needs Lula’s approval. As the chronicle shows, PT members are betting that Lula will veto the text.
