Twelve urban parks in the capital of São Paulo and the metropolitan region of São Paulo were temporarily closed to the public this Wednesday morning (12/10) after winds of more than 80 km/h were recorded.
The Department of Environment, Infrastructure and Logistics (Semil), through the Directorate of Urban Parks, reported that the parks were blocked due to the gusts recorded between Tuesday (10/09) and this morning.
According to Semil, the decision follows the criteria established in Semil-SMA-CPP Ordinance No. 07/2025, which provides for the preventive closure of urban parks when there are records of winds above 40 km/h or a high risk of falling branches and trees.
Urban parks closed this Wednesday (10/12):

- Itaim Biacica Park
- Engenheiro Goulart Park (PET)
