In a match valid for the round of 16 of the Spanish King’s Cup, Barcelona traveled to Guadalajara this Tuesday (16/12). The match took place at the home of the 3rd national division club. The Catalans won 2-0, goals scored by Christensen and Rashford.
The team will now wait for the draw to find out who they will face in the round of 16. With a mixed team on the pitch, Barcelona opened the scoring just 30 minutes into the second half. After a cross into the area, Christensen headed the ball, the ball deflected from the goal and went in. At 45, Rashford received the through ball after a counter-attack, dribbled past the goalkeeper and pushed it into the back of the net.

After qualifying for the knockout stages of Spain’s Copa del Rey, Barcelona will return to action in the competition on January 14. The Catalans still don’t know who they will face at this stage of the national tournament. The Spanish federation will decide the clashes by drawing lots.
Barcelona will return to the field on Sunday (12/21). For the 17th day of the Spanish Championship, the Catalans travel to Villarreal, at 12:15 p.m. (Brasilia time). The match will take place at the Estadio de la Ceramica, home of the Yellow Submarine.
