
The Legislative Chamber of the Federal District (CLDF) closed this Wednesday (12/10) the legislative year 2025 with the approval of the Annual Finance Law (LOA) for next year. The vote on bills and other proposals in the plenary session of the Chamber will not resume until February 2026.
Atypically, the last ordinary session of the year began around 10:30 a.m. Throughout the morning, until the beginning of the afternoon, the district deputies met in plenary to deliberate on the latest projects for 2025.
In addition to the budget for 2026, set at R$74.4 billion – including R$45.9 billion from own revenues and R$28.4 billion – from the Constitutional Fund, seven other projects were considered by the districts. Among them, setting the ethanol level in the DF at 13%.

A second project also voted on this Wednesday (10/12) establishes the Federal District Football Support Program (PAFDF). The project, developed by the executive power, the PL, provides financial, structural and technical support to football clubs based in the capital of the Republic, with the aim of strengthening the teams and guaranteeing participation in the national competitions of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF).
Several credits were also approved by the districts, totaling BRL 24.2 million, which will be allocated to various areas of the Federal District government. Project number 1.998/2025 allowed a modification of the budget of the Federal District to guarantee the payment of pensions and pensions of former employees of the Court of Accounts of the Federal District (TCDF).
According to the text drafted by the executive branch, the total amount that the government wants to reallocate is 7.19 million reais. This amount is called “additional credit” and it is not new money, but rather a necessary reinforcement for an expense already planned in the budget.
Project number 2 095/2025 allocated an additional credit to the 2025 budget in the amount of BRL 8.8 million, distributed as follows:
- BRL 3.7 million for the DF Culture Support Fund;
- BRL 2.6 million for the Secretariat for Culture and Creative Economy (Secec-DF) to organize events to celebrate the end of the year;
- BRL 1.8 million for expenses of the Sports and Recreation Department (Sel-DF), related to energy and water expenses;
- R$650,000 to pay for the archive services of the Secretariat of the Economy (Seec-DF);
- R$50,000 for work at the Botanical Garden of Brasilia.
Finally, project number 2,059/2025 concerned funds for communication, with an allocation of R$8 million for advertising and publicity by the Department of Traffic (Detran-DF) and R$196,000 for content layout and other graphic services that will be contracted by the Fundação Jardim Zoológico de Brasília.
The session ended around 2:30 p.m., without examining the projects drafted by the deputies. Proposals will be analyzed throughout 2026.
The projects approved this Wednesday (10/12), as well as those approved Tuesday (9/12), will still be sanctioned by Governor Ibaneis Rocha (MDB).
