Each scenic painting explores a different dimension of these figures: the bold irony of Tita by Anita Martinez; the elegant lyricism of Libertad by Marisol Otero; Nelly Omar’s Rebel Force, by Julia Calvo; and the physical strength of María Nieves by Andrea Ghidone. With a new start for 2026, These moments are given greater visual and dramatic depth, integrating dance, projections and musicality into an immersive experience.

Under Ghidone’s direction, the show poses a current reading of tango without giving up its essence. The visual setting, costumes and lighting design create an environment that respects the genre’s original aesthetic but presents it in a contemporary form, inviting the audience to experience tango from an emotional and accessible place. Chino Laborde’s musicality and voice are the pillars of the show: his live sound provides texture, momentum and a level of precision that carries every scene. The interplay of music, dance and acting creates a flowing dynamic brings the genre closer to an audience of different ages, even for those who are not familiar with traditional tango.
