With his mandate suspended for six months, MP Glauber Braga (PSol-RJ) once again attacked his biggest enemy, the former president of the Chamber of Deputies Arthur Lira (PP-AL). According to PSolista, Lira is the main coordinator of the discrepancies related to the secret budget. This statement follows a federal police operation that targeted Mariângela Fialek, former advisor to the deputy of Alagoas and identified as the operator of the scheme aimed at hijacking the parliamentary amendments.
During an interview with Metropoliseson TVM, this Tuesday (16/12), Glauber Braga commented on the suspension of his mandate determined by the Chamber of Deputies and mentioned the operation carried out in the Chamber last Friday (12/12).
According to the parliamentarian, there was no coincidence between the statement he made to the PF in February and the opening of the process at the Ethics Council in March. “Arthur Lira is the father of the secret budget,” he said.

Glauber also said that the operation against Lira’s former advisor was the result of an accumulation of investigations over time. “This operation is accumulating. At some point it would happen. It was not only based on testimonies. Ms. (Mariângela), the right arm of Arthur Lira, was under judicial surveillance, which even gave rise to other information. It was an amount that led to the operation,” he said.
The MP said he hoped the development of the case would lead to the accountability of the man he described as the main mentor of the project. “I hope that the development of this story will hold responsible the boss, the advisor, the mentor, the coordinator of the lady who was the target of the operation. Everyone knows that it is Arthur Lira,” he stressed.

On Friday, the Federal Police (PF) launched an operation to execute, in Brasilia (DF), two search and seizure warrants issued by the Supreme Federal Court (STF). One of the targets was Mariângela Fialek, former advisor to MP Arthur Lira.
In a note sent Metropolisesthe defense of councilor Mariangela Fialek, said that she “did not commit any functional or criminal irregularity” and that her role in the Chamber of Deputies was “strictly technical, non-partisan and impersonal”.
In addition, the lawyers argued that the objective of the measure taken “was to access information related to the role he exercises in the Chamber of Deputies, regarding the indications, by the deputies, of the amendment funds”.
