Corinthians became Copa do Brasil champions for the fourth time in their history. With another domestic competition title won, Timão qualified for the 2026 Copa Libertadores. The black and white team will enter directly into the group stage.
With the ranking of Corinthians in the next edition of the Libertadores, seven other Brazilian clubs are confirmed in the event: Flamengo, Palmeiras, Cruzeiro, Mirassol, Fluminense, Botafogo and Bahia. Glorioso and Tricolor de Aço will play in the preliminary phase.

The last time Corinthians participated in the Copa Libertadores da América was in 2025. After finishing the Brazilian Championship in 7th place, Timão entered the 2nd phase of the competition. In the first match, the São Paulo club beat Universidad Central, from Venezuela.
In the first match, Corinthians drew 1-1 in the first leg and beat their opponent 3-2 in the return. In the 3rd phase, Timão was eliminated by Barcelona from Guayaquil. Defeated in the first match 3 x 0 away. Timão defeated the Ecuadorians at the Neo Química Arena 2 x 0. However, the result was not enough for the São Paulo team to qualify.
