Woman dies after being crushed and dragged by ex-partner in Marginal Tietê

This Wednesday, Tainara’s family members were called by hospital staff at lunchtime to say goodbye to the young woman. She died around 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve. We still do not have information on the time and place of the wake and burial of the victim who leaves behind two children: a 12-year-old boy and a 7-year-old girl.

The young woman was hospitalized for 25 days, first at the Vereador José Storopolli Municipal Hospital, before being transferred to the HC.

The driver who hit her and then fled was a man with whom she was in a relationship. The suspect was identified by civil police and is under arrest. During the approach, he attempted to take the weapon away from the officers, who reacted and struck him in the arm.

“Another attempted femicide. Let’s go in search of justice,” wrote Fabio Costa, one of the young woman’s lawyers, on a social network.

Images circulating on social media show the woman lying, pinned under the car, which was still driving on the road. The case was registered at the 73rd DP (Jaçanã) and is being investigated for attempted femicide.

The São Paulo Public Security Secretariat (SSP-SP) reported that military and civil police officers went to the scene after the woman was crushed and that the investigation reveals an intentional action.
