New episode of tension in the complicated relationship of Jose Mourinho with the media: the Portuguese coach was the protagonist this Monday during a press conference for a “connection” with a journalistwhom he accused of having written false news.
“I thought you were going to comment on the news you announced”said the Benfica coach, after Las Aguilas’ narrow victory over Famalicao (1-0), to the informant as he was about to ask him a question. “Wrong,” he added, with a serious gesture and a sharp tone as he listened to his interlocutor’s response.
Far from stopping there, the Portuguese, who during his time at Real Madrid had countless confrontations with the press, wanted to reprimand the journalist for his information: “No, you wrote a report and I have to tell you that the news is false. And since I was, let’s say, the main character in the article, I tell you, in all honesty, that the news is false.”
