Goiania – A barely two-year-old girl died this Friday (12/12), after almost a month of hospitalization, after burning 45% of her body. The child was burned in a burning vehicle, the flames of which were started by the car owner’s ex-girlfriend, motivated by revenge.
The incident took place in Nova Crixás, north of Goiás, on November 17. The child was admitted to the State Emergency Hospital (Hugol) Governador Otávio Laje de Siqueira, in the capital of Goiás. She was transferred due to the severity of her injuries.
According to the girl’s family, the fire happened intentionally. After a fight between the two spouses, the neighbor allegedly set fire to the ex-boyfriend’s car, which was in front of the door of the house where the child lived. The girl, who was with her father, left the house without the man noticing and when she arrived outside, the vehicle exploded and hit her.
