The governor of Minas Gerais, Romeu Zema (Novo), responded to the ironies of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), who criticized the Minas Gerais politician over an episode in which he ate a banana with the skin to illustrate a statement. This Friday (12/12), Zema accused one of Lula’s sons of being involved in corruption operations. Look:
If Lula is in Minas, it’s still the same soap opera. He came to develop a political platform at the expense of the people.
But since he is so embarrassed that I eat a banana, I take the opportunity to also talk about what bothers me about him and leave a message.

“While Lula is embarrassed by the fact that I eat bananas, I am much more embarrassed to see him in the presidency, with his son accused of receiving an allowance of R$300,000 per month from the head of the corruption system that stole money from former INSS. I am also very embarrassed by the rampant spending to try to buy off people who live in a backward country, with abusive interest rates. This group is really not ashamed. They continue to attack the Brazilians.” Zema said.
Lula started
Zema reacted after a statement by Lula at the launch of the Federal Caravan in Minas, when the president mocked Zema for “not having learned to peel a banana”, recalling a video Zema had posted months ago disapproving of the Lula government’s economy. “Zema didn’t say anything because he should only eat bananas with the skin on, he hasn’t learned to put the bananas down yet. He’s not going anywhere,” Lula said.
In the video that Lula mentions to criticize him, the governor of Minas Gerais criticized the inflation of food sold in stores and sarcastically ate a banana with the skin to “save” the fruit. At the time Zema published this video, it coincided with the statement of the head of Planalto which had negative repercussions, after he suggested educating people to avoid buying very expensive products.
“Respect Minas and the miners, because when you come here, it’s always the same litany. You come here to enjoy the prosperous environment that the miners and I have created over the last few years. And forget that it was you and your group who put us through the greatest crisis of all time. Today, thanks to God and a lot of work, we are already much better. And we will not allow Minas to return to the wasteland that you and your comrades of the PT have left in the past,” declared the Governor of Mines.
