In the first leg of the Copa do Brasil semi-final, Fluminense faced Vasco at the Maracanã on Thursday evening (11/12). Tricolor das Laranjeiras was beaten 2 x 1, in a surprise. The goals were scored by Rayan and Vegetti. Discounted Serna for the flu. During a press conference, Luís Zubeldía declared that the confrontation was equal and balanced.
“Sometimes the defender can defend well, other times the attacker can win. I think (Vegetti) won the match well in the second stick. And then, as you said, it was a moment for everyone. I believe their first goal made them grow emotionally. But it ended up being a balanced match. The difference is that they had the ability to score another goal, to win,” Zubeldía began.

During the press conference, the Fluminense coach said that the match was still open and that the second leg would be played at the Maracanã, where there would be more fans than Vasco.
“And it is also true that the series is open because there is another match and we will be the hosts. This series always lasts 180 minutes. It seems to me that we have to have a good second match and get the place. Just like we lost today, we can overturn the series. It lasts 180 minutes and we will define it here with more of our supporters”, concluded Luís Zubeldía.
With this result, Fluminense must win by two goals to reach the final of the competition. The match between Tricolor das Laranjeiras and Cruzmaltino will take place on Sunday (14/12), at 8:30 p.m., at the Maracanã. Whoever qualifies for the duel will face the winner of the match between Corinthians x Cruzeiro.
