The explosion killed 40 people and injured 115; one of them is Tahirys dos Santos, just 19 years old
A player from Metz (FRA) is among those injured in the explosion in a bar in the ski resort of Crans-Montana, Switzerland, in the early hours of last Wednesday (31/12) to Thursday (1/1). This is French midfielder Tahirys dos Santos, just 19 years old. The player suffered serious burns to his body, according to a message from Metz himself via social networks.
He therefore flew to a hospital in Germany, where he remains hospitalized, according to “L’Équipe”, from France. Metz then gave his support to the player and his family. The explosion, which occurred around 1:30 a.m. (local time), killed at least 40 people and injured 115 on New Year’s Eve.

On behalf of all members of FIFA and the global football community, I send my deepest condolences to the families and friends of all those affected by this tragedy”, declared the FIFA President.
