The actress Antonia San Juan (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, 64 years old) announced that the tumor she suffered from had regressed and that she was cured of the illness that left her behind the scenes last September. “The tumor is in remission, I have no metastases and I am cured,” he tells his 517,000 followers on his Instagram account in a video indicating that he has completed his last session of chemotherapy, but that he still needs to continue the treatment for his recovery.
The interpreter thanked his doctors, nurses, assistants and everyone who helped him in this process and insisted that he must trust science.
In this sense, he argued that what cures is “chemotherapy, radiotherapy and surgery” and that alternative treatments should only collaborate with traditional medicine.
San Juan, who, since his diagnosis was made public, has used his social networks to tell how he coped with the disease, said that he feels very happy and said that he will toast with water and gas on December 31 for all the people who are with him and sent “a lot of strength” to those who suffer from the disease. “I wish those who undergo treatment, those who complete it, those who empathize with those who do not know them and diagnose them, with great strength, to trust in science, which advances more every day. This is how it worked for me,” he said in the video.
Según assures that during this period he maintained the illusion of his life and his work: “He achieved in my life much more than I expected, I must give him thanks and thank myself for having always faced everything straight and for having been able to overcome adverse situations”. “At 64, I feel like I’m living 20 more years,” he says in the video, affirming that he will be in good health for the new year.
The actress, who publicly announced her diagnosis last September, explained why she spoke about her illness on social media: “I want to give up power with the word cancer.” On his personal network, he has accumulated several videos talking about the chemotherapy treatment that led to the hair loss he suffered. “My intention is solidarity,” he assured anyone accused of having sold their life on the platform.
