At least two people have died and a third is missing due to snow avalanches that occurred this Thursday in the Italian Alps, in the north of the country.
An avalanche swept away four people near a refuge in the province of Cuneo, leaving one dead, two injured and one missing. Authorities deployed helicopters, mountain rescue teams and firefighters to the scene, around 2,300 meters above sea level.
On the other hand, a skier died this morning after being carried several tens of meters by an avalanche near Recoaro Terme, in the province of Vicenza. The other person he was with escaped unharmed, reports the AdnKronos news agency.
