BEACH CARE
To reduce the risks, firefighters recommend that people avoid jumping into the sea after drinking alcoholic beverages. It is also important not to climb slopes or rocks and not to use floating objects, such as inflatable mattresses, in water.
Currents moving toward deeper areas are the main cause of drownings, the company says, which surprise swimmers.
