International reaction

In a statement released on Saturday, the Russian government said it was “deeply concerned” about the situation and stressed the importance of avoiding an escalation of the conflict, emphasizing that efforts must focus on finding a solution through dialogue.
Argentina’s President, Javier Milei, also reacted to the events involving Venezuela. In a post on social media, he wrote: “Freedom advances. Long live freedom, man.”
The message was published during the republication of a news story from a website that claimed that United States President Donald Trump had confirmed the capture and expulsion of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro from the country.
American attack on Venezuela
- The Venezuelan government issued an official statement in the early hours of this Saturday (1/3) in which it accuses the United States of carrying out military aggression against the civil and military areas of Caracas and the states of Miranda, Aragua and La Guaira.
- The complaint was officially presented to the international community.
- In the document, shared by Venezuelan authorities on social media, the government states that these actions would violate the United Nations Charter, including the principles of sovereignty, equality between states and the prohibition of the use of force.
- According to the text, the attack represents a serious threat to the peace and stability of Latin America and the Caribbean.
- Still according to the press release, the objective of the offensive would be to control Venezuelan strategic resources, such as oil and minerals.
- The government rejects this hypothesis and says it will continue to defend national independence, remembering the country’s history of resistance to foreign powers.
