Three Argentine soccer players have been embroiled in a scandal in recent hours after a New Year’s party in Brazil that ended with assault charges and police intervention. The incident, which occurred in the municipality of Eusebio, in Fortaleza, is being investigated by the civil police and the defender is the main suspect. Eros Mancuso, who shared the celebration with the midfielder Tomas Pochettino and the extreme Jose Herrera.
According to local media, a neighbor showed up at the house where the party was taking place and complained about the high volume of music, which lasted until around 5 a.m. The complainant stated that his daughter could not sleep and that as a result of this claim, an argument ensued which escalated.

The neighbor said he was attacked during the argument He aimed directly at Mancuso, whom he accused of biting his nose. Although there is no conclusive evidence yet, the allegation is part of the ongoing investigation by Brazilian authorities.
Faced with this situation, the former Estudiantes and Boca footballer made a detailed statement on his social networks in which he claimed that the events took place contrary to the complaint. According to his version, the neighbor came into his house “out of control”, made insults against him and his job, entered the house without permission and caused property damage, including breaking down a door.
Mancuso stated that he should have called the police to bring the situation under control and confirmed that he would be filing a formal complaint against the neighbor. While the judicial investigation progresses, the incident also has repercussions at a sporting level, as the player was investigated by Racing, a club that had started discussions about bringing the player in as a reinforcement for next season.
