Ana Paula Arósio became Globo’s dream for the soap opera “Avenida Brazil 2”which is scheduled to premiere in 2027. The actress has been absent from series for over 17 years – the most recent being “Ciranda de Pedra”. On the air in the role of Giuliana from “Terra Nostra”, repeated in the “Special Edition”, and in which she had a moving scene, Ana Paula already had her first conversations with Ricardo Waddington about the leading role.
The director, in turn, is betting big on the presence of the actress in the casting of the continuation of the plot broadcast in 2013 and Globo has already given the green light for the negotiation. According to columnist Daniel César, of “Na Telinha”, these first dialogues between Ana Paula and Ricardo were considered satisfactory.
Now living in England and not working on television since 2010, the actress would be the new rival of Carminha (Adriana Esteves), also playing the role of the soap opera villain and with a greater degree of villainy than that of the vixen. On the other hand, the former viper would transform into the anti-heroine of “Avenida Brasil 2” at the same time as she would try to redeem herself from her bad actions.

Revealed in 1994 in the soap opera “Éramos Seis”, Ana Paula resurfaced in a television commercial in 2025 and for which she received high remuneration, and clarified last April that she could, indeed, return to soap operas. The actress, however, would not be willing to face a marathon of around 200 chapters.
