Grêmio had no difficulty making their debut with a victory in the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior. Next came the group’s host team, Votuporanguense, who won the Galvez-AC by 2 to 1. In the next round, Monday (5/1), Grêmio will face Galvez at 4 p.m. (Brasilia time). Then, at 6:30 p.m., Votuporanguense and Falcon play.
How did Grêmio win?
Much more technical and well placed, Grêmio created four clear chances before the quarter of an hour, two of which were incredible. In one of them, João Borne finished with an open goal, but the ball ended up hitting his teammate Natan, who was entering the area. In another, Zorteus took a free kick which went wide. The goal was only a matter of time and came after 16 minutes, after a mix-up in the box: Arley won the division and Adrielson he got the rest, finishing opening the scoring.
Two minutes later, full-back Vitor Ramon developed an individual play. He advances from the right, attempts the pass, the defense cuts poorly, he recovers the ball, invades the area and finishes strong, without any chance for the goalkeeper.
In the 26th minute, Jefferson was brought down by Ariel and the referee awarded a penalty. João Borne shot, but it went over, losing the opportunity to score the third goal. At 33, Grêmio still had a goal disallowed.
In the second half, from the first minute, the Grêmio player Arthur gave a kick, the ball was deflected towards harley and entered. The referee awarded the goal to the last player.
