In the video: Images of the explosions taken in Caracas
The Venezuelan government condemned this Saturday “military aggression” by the United States after explosions and aircraft overflights were reported in Caracas and other parts of the country.
Videos taken by neighbors showed columns of smoke and explosions and even some planes flying at low altitudes.
According to neighbors and journalists working with BBC Mundo, several parts of Caracas remained without power.
“Civil and military sites in the city of Caracas, capital of the Republic, and the states of Miranda, Aragua and La Guaira,” the Venezuelan government reported.
The explosions were heard this Saturday after 2:00 a.m. in places such as the La Carlota air base in Caracas or in nearby areas.
