President Lula spent New Year’s Eve 2025-2026 with First Lady Janja and some family members and friends at Copacabana Fort, Rio de Janeiro.
According to his advisers, Lula traveled by helicopter between the naval base of Restinga da Marambaia, where he resides, and the Copacabana fort.

Besides Janja, the PT member was accompanied by his granddaughter Bia, great-granddaughter Analua and friends. The group had dinner at the Fort itself, from where they watched the fireworks show.
