A widespread brawl at Block 201 in Recanto das Emas (DF) resulted in the murder of a 25-year-old man in the early hours of this Thursday (1/1).

Victor Maciel de Sousa Ribeiro, 25, was stabbed three times in the leg, after trying to defend his girlfriend’s brother during the confusion.
According to a report provided to the Police Station 27 (Recanto das Emas) team, Victor’s girlfriend said the couple was heading to a kiosk in the area when, during the trip, they met his 17-year-old brother.
On the way, a man almost ran over the teenager with a bicycle. Angered, the brother-in-law wondered if the person was going to “come after him,” which sparked an argument between the two.

While trying to defend his girlfriend’s brother, Victor ended up getting himself involved in trouble. The cyclist left the scene, but returned shortly after accompanied by a group of people. That’s when the fight began, as seen in the video footage above.
At one point, Victor was stabbed three times in the leg and fell to the ground. Although he was injured, he was still attacked with punches and kicks by the group members, who fled the scene after hearing the victim’s girlfriend screaming for help.
A team from the Federal District Military Fire Brigade (CBMDF) was called to help, but Victor was confirmed dead at the scene.
According to the Civil Police of the Federal District (PCDF), the author of the stabbings, who is believed to be a minor, has already been identified, but has not yet been located. Another person involved in the confusion was also identified and located.
