The Mega da Virada draw, held on Thursday morning (1/1), won a record prize of 1.09 billion reais. Unlike usual competitions, the prizes have not accumulated and the jackpot will begin in 2026 in the pockets of some lucky people. Two groups won the jackpot: Ponta Porã (MS) and Franco da Rocha (SP). There was also a winner in the person of João Pessoa (PB) and three others who played the matches electronically. But once the winning numbers are announced, a practical question arises: how and where to claim the prize?
Check the numbers drawn: 09 – 13 – 21 – 32 – 33 – 59.
First step
When the the bet is made on paperthe ticket does not have an automatic owner. In practice, whoever has it in hand can collect the prize. Therefore, Caixa’s recommendation is that as soon as the prize is confirmed, the winner writes their full name and CPF on the back of the ticket.
Thus, the receipt is no longer “bearer” and becomes nominal, which prevents another person from claiming its value.
In the case of bets made via digital channelslike the Loterias Caixa application or portal, the price is already automatically linked to the CPF of the player registered in the system.
Refund and deadline
According to the rules of Caixa Econômica Federal, prices exceeding R$2,428.80 must be exchanged exclusively at bank branches.
Those who bet online must initiate the refund process on the portal or app itself.

Why has no one ever won the Mega da Virada prize alone?
To receive the prize, it is mandatory to present an official ID with CPF and the original receipt of the winning bet.
The deadline for claiming the amount is 90 calendar days after the draw date, i.e. April 1, 2026. If the winner does not redeem within this period, the amount expires and is allocated to the Student Finance Fund (FIES).
Payment
Payment is made within a minimum of two working days from the request. The amounts are already paid with a reduction in Income Tax (IR), where applicable.
In the case of bets made via pools, Caixa’s own system indicates whether the quota is subject to an IR reduction. The information appears on the receipt at the time of withdrawal. In these situations, the amount must be withdrawn directly from a Caixa branch.
