This Thursday (10/01), Caixa will draw a prize of R$1.09 billion, the largest value in history. The draw, which was to take place this Wednesday (12/31) at 10 p.m., had to be postponed, in an unprecedented way, due to the strong influx of bets.
According to Caixa Econômica, the record price generated an unprecedented movement in betting channels, which reached 120 thousand transactions per second on the digital channel and 4,745 transactions per second in lottery units.
Unlike other competitions, Mega da Virada does not accumulate. If no one gets the six digits correct, the prize of 1.09 billion reais will be shared among everyone who gets the correct coin – and so on.
