The main roads that connect the capital and the interior of São Paulo to coastal cities experienced few sections of congestion or slowdowns between 1:40 p.m. and 2:10 p.m. this Friday (2), according to information available on the channels of dealers and the DER-SP (São Paulo State Highways Department).
Traffic to the city of São Paulo for those spending New Year’s Eve at the beach was particularly complicated on roads that pass through coastal regions. The worst situation was that of the Doutor Manuel Hipólito Rego highway (SP-55), the Rio-Santos section that crosses the northern coast, congested between Ubatuba and Bertioga.
In the Baixada Santista region, the Anchieta and Imigrantes highways had traffic jams in some places, with traffic moving smoothly for most of the route. See detailed information for main roads below:
Anchieta-Immigrants
- Via Anchieta (SP-150) congested traffic from kilometers 59 to 55 towards São Paulo. There are also traffic jams on the Cônego Domênio Rangoni highway (SP-55) from kilometer 251 to kilometer 258.
- The Imigrantes highway has traffic jams between kilometers 65 and 63 towards the capital São Paulo.
Ayrton Senna-Carvalho Pinto
- The Ayrton Senna and Carvalho Pinto highways have free traffic both towards São Paulo and towards Rio de Janeiro and the north coast.
Tamoios
- Cameras monitoring the Tamoios Highway (SP-99) showed free traffic on all sections, including Serra Antiga, which is open after being closed due to risks caused by rain.
- The return to São Paulo is done slowly on the Doutor Manuel Hipólito Rego highway (SP-55) along almost the entire part of the northern coast, from Ubatuba to Bertioga.
Via Dutra
- Traffic on Via Dutra experiences four slowdowns in the urban areas of Piraí, from kilometer 219 to kilometer 224, in Taubaté, from kilometer 97 to kilometer 105, and in São José dos Campos, from kilometer 135 to kilometer 146.
- The heavily trafficked Floriano Rodrigues Pinheiro Highway (SP-123) connects the mountain town of Campos do Jordão to the Dutra and Carvalho Pinto roads.
Anhanguera-Bandeirantes
- The Anhanguera Highway (SP-330) has normal traffic in interior and capital directions.
- The Bandeirantes Highway (SP-348) also runs normally in both directions.
Raposo-Castelo
- The Raposo Tavares (SP-270) and Castelo Branco (SP-280) highways provide normal traffic to the capital and interior of São Paulo.
